Gangai Amaran, the man with many talents, has made a comeback as a music composer with ‘Pugaippadam’. The movie stars Amjad, Priya Anand and Yamini in lead roles. Produced by N C Manikandan the movie is based on a true story of the college days of eight friends.
The album has youthful tracks by Gangai Amaran with the likes of Krish, Venkat Prabhu and Vijay Yesudas singing. Watch out for a duet between S P Balasubramaniam and Chitra. The album has lovely songs.

A soothing melody by Gangai Amaran, sung by his son Venkat Prabhu in the company of Prashanthini. Soft music not disturbing the charm of Na Muthukumar's lyrics is the hallmark of the song. Venkat Prabhu, who mesmerised as filmmaker with ‘Chennai 28’ and ‘Saroja’, does the same as singer here.
