Sandai Kozhi is a mix of action, humor and sentiment.

'As a director, commercial factors weigh on my mind. Meera Jasmine is a performing artiste, with the ability to slip into characters and make it easy for the director. I could get the best out of her in Run and she has lived up to her potential in this too,' says Lingusamy.

On choosing Vishal for the lead role, 'my earlier films featured Mammootty, Ajith and Madhavan only because they fitted in the characters and were not cast for their popularity. In Sandai Kozhi, I plumped for Vishal whom I felt to be the best bet.'

For Vishal, who vowed us all through Chellame, this is an important film. Another good performance here could catapult him to stardom. He knows that and that is why he says he has taken extra care in getting things right in each frame.

After a stupendous show in Thavamai Thavamirundu, Raj Kiran plays almost a typical role in Sandai Kozhi while Malayalam actor Lal plays a baddie.

Stunts by Kanal Kannan and Yuvan Shankar's music are the other highlights of the movie, says Lingusamy.

Sandai Kozhi is a movie with an earthy flavor, which would live up to expectations, he adds.
