Karan, after a long gap, is ready to make a splash on screen with his Kokki. It features him in the lead role.
The movie, directed by Solomon, who had his moments of brilliance in King, has Mumbai's Sanjana in the female lead.
Outlining a thin line of the script, Karan said 'It's all about the travails of a youth landing in the metropolis after his early summers in the village. The appealing factors are the gripping storyline, innovative screenplay and slick action. There is that palpable difference taking it away from the routine commercial movies. Due credit to Solmon for making it a racy entertainer.'
The actor has shed 23 kilograms in order to suit the role.
On her debut venture in Tamil, Sanjana says, 'I took to modelling and also acted in an off-beat Bengali film. Thanks to the timely help of a model co-ordinator, could get this important role.'
With musical score by Dheena, Kokki is expected to give Karan a fresh lease of life.
