Thalainagaram Preview

Joining the list of directors to face the camera is Sundar C. The man known for his hilarious entertainers had worked with stars like Rajinikanth, Kamal Hassan and Karthik. He will be playing the lead role in the movie Thalainagaram in which he dons the role of a local rowdy. Giving him company are Vadivelu, Mayilsamy and Bose Venkat.

Though it is a movie about a gangster, it would be a hilarious entertainer, says debutant director Suraj, a one-time associate of Sundar.

Thalainagaram has Malayalam actress Jyothirmayi opposite Sundar C. Prakash Raj and director K S Ravikumar play important roles.

'Suraj narrated the story to me and also urged me to act in the lead role. Initially I was hesitant, but after consulting my well-wishers including my wife (Kushboo), I decided to take the challenge since I thought it was also a career option for me.'

'Having worked with me in my earlier ventures Suraj knows my limitations. Hence the story does not revolve around me. My role is pretty much minor and there are talented artistes like Prakash Raj, Vadivelu and Ravikumar shouldering the burden'.

'Though I have romantic scenes with Jyothirmayi, I will not run around trees singing songs', he says and adds that music director D Imman, stunt master Thalapathy Dinesh and cinematographer Selvaraj have worked in his earlier ventures. 'Hence we share a good rapport. They motivated me and encouraged me to do well on the screen', he says.
