Thoothukudi Preview

Debutant Sanjay Ram is coming out with a gangster film with Thoothukudi which he says would be riveting. With 'Pudhu Pudhu Arthangal' fame Rahman back at his helm, Thoothukudi would be the movie to watch out this year, he says.

Rahman plays the role of Lingam, a dreaded gangster, whom the director says is the South version of Samrat Ashoka Chakravarthy.

Noted choreographer Harikumar, who had worked in over 100 films in Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam and with big stars like Mammootty, Mohanlal, Dileep is making his debut as hero in the movie. Also in the cast includes Karthika as heroine and new faces like Swetha, Radhakrishnan, Navin Balaji and Raghu Varma.

The film revolves round a young guy who works for the betterment and justice of the downtrodden. He also makes many sacrifices in making this passion come true. Praveen Mani has composed six songs for the film with recording done at a studio in Toronto.
