'I always wanted to make small films on Annapurna Studios banner parallel to the star centric big budgeted action films. 'Uyyala Jampala' has retriggered my thoughts on small films once again. I am game for more if someone comes with a good story' said Nagarjuna in a pressmeet arranged to remind the audience of the film which is releasing on the Christmas.
He added 'When Virinchi Varma told me the story, I fell for it instantaneously. And he made a wonderful product out of it too. Avika as Amalapuram girl and Raj Tarun have done a fantastic job. I can proudly say that I am introducing them to the screen. I can just say that 'Uyyala Jampala' is a good film and go grab it on Wednesday'
Suresh Babu, who is presenting the film also echoed the same opinion on the film, the director and the lead pair. He also said the couple has done a fantastic job and it's a director's film.
Ram Mohan said the film's stature increased multifold with support from the giants like Nagarjuna and Suresh Babu and I thank them for believing in the film. Virinchi Varma the director said the film is a collage of all his childhood incidents.
Avika and Raj Tarun said it's a lifetime experience for them in their maiden attempts and wished the audience would love them.
