Baloo Spicy, who has come up with the private video album,'Mr.Spicy', recently, is very happy at the response for his debut album itself and said that he is looking forward for a career as a music director for big films.
In this exclusive interview to Indiaglitz.com, he revealed the famous Tollywood personalities who supported him a lot in coming up with this album, his background, his inspiration etc.
In his words...
Mr. Spicy is a video album. Previously Smitha and Raghu Kunche have come up with private albums. Devi Sri Prasad had made a private album titled 'Mr.Devi'. After him, its only me who has come up with a private album. I hope the viewers will love it.
Worked with them
Professionally I am a interior designer. I entered the industry with a passion for music. It's been two years I came here. I've worked with R.P.Patnaik, Sai Karthik and some other music directors previously.
Mr.Spicy is my debut album. I am looking forward for a career as a music director in film industry. So to show my skills, I've come up with this 'Mr.Spicy' album as a demo. Many will make only audio albums when it comes to private albums, but I thought it will not work out. With the idea that a visual representation would attract I made this album. I am happy with the response now.
There are totally six songs and one remix song in this album. I love all the songs, but 'Miss you' song is my favourite and nearer to my heart. I've also made a remix for that song and I hope it will be received well.
Out of the six audio songs, I've released videos for two songs. I thought that releasing all at once will not be effective and so I have not released all the video songs at once. I will release the remaining video songs soon.
This is not a film and it will not have a story. I have made all the songs with different concepts. The whistle song I've composed is first of it's kind and no one did it before. I'm the first to come up with that concept. When I whistle, the heroine will sing according to it.
I've choreographed for all the songs except one. It is not because of the intention that I should be every where. But because of the idea that only I can represent my thoughts in a right way.
Three cinematographers have worked for this album. Out of them, Siva Ram sir, the choreographer for 'Pilla Pilla' song is very senior. Out of the other two, Maruthi is a very good friend of mine. He has been working as an assistant for Senthil sir and he is even an assistant for 'Baahubali'. The other Anoop is a friend of Maruthi and is a starter. They have captured exactly what is in my mind.
Balaji of Uppenantha E Premaki fame has supported me a lot and has written the 'Bujji Barbie Doll' song from the album. It will be sure one of the biggest hit songs in this album. Ananth Sriram has written the 'Mr.Spicy' title song beautifully. The remaining four lyricist are freshers, who have worked for short films. I hope they will bag good name with this album. Out of them Vijay, the writer of 'Miss You' song and Abhishek Patre are very good. Pilla Pilla song was written by Nivas. Raghu and me has written the 'Akkada Kuda Undha' song.
They supported me a lot
Without the support of my parents, I could not have made this album. My uncle is Kasi Viswanath, the producer of 'Krishna' movie. Even V.V.Vinayak is very close to me. I had a lot of support from my friends, relatives, musicians etc. but it is only because of my parents' support, I made this album.
Feed back from industry
I had a very good feed back from the industry. Director Madhura Sreedhar said that many come to him with a CD for a chance in his film and he used to tell them to come up with something innovative. He appreciated my idea of coming up with a video album. His support is amazing.
Not interested in acting
I'm not all interested in acting. If you look at any album, only the one who composes the album will appear in it. Even A.R.Rahman, Devi Sri Prasad, Baba Sehgal, Adnan Shami and many all over the world did the same.
So I also did the same. It is only with the intention that the viewers would recognize me as the composer of this album and if I don't appear good on screen, please forgive me.
Devi Sri Prasad is my inspiration and I even like Keeravani's classical music. Devi Sri Prasad's energy is amazing and we can reach great heights if we have some amount of energy that DSP has. But it is both Pawan Kalyan, who inspired me to come to the industry. So I consider both Pawan Kalyan and Devi Sri Prasad as my inspirations.
I want to become a good music director and I even got two exciting offers from very good production houses. I cannot reveal them now and it would be fair if they tell it. Even if I become a music director, I will release private song in-between by films.
