Now that the election fever is over, all the eyes are on the next big releases. Two big films, 'Manam' and 'Vikramasimha' are going to release on May 23rd and there is a lot of hype surrounding both of the films. Let's take a look at the positives and negatives both the films.
'Manam' is a film, which has been generating a lot of buzz since it's launch. At first, the reason is the three generations of the Akkineni heroes ANR, Nagarjuna and Naga Chaitanya are going to be seen together for the first time in it.
And when the legendary actor ANR passed away, fans got emotional and have been eagerly waiting for the release of the film. One word that can describe the promos and songs released recently is 'Outstanding'. The visually vivid promos and the melodious numbers in the album raised the eagerness to the next level.
In addition to these Nagarjuna and Naga Chaitanya recently said that the film will have a reincarnation angle and the plot will be an off beat one. 'Manam' will be releasing on May 23rd amidst a lot of hype
Vikramasimha, the Telugu version of "Kochadaiyaan" is releasing on May 23rd. This is Rajinikanth's daughter Soundarya Ashwin's first movie as a director.
The film uses the performance capture technology and has set benchmarks in terms of technology and huge budget. The film has a lot of hype surrounding it.
But on the other side, there is a buzz that many of Rajinikanth's fans are not at all interested in the film, as the film shows an animated Rajinikanth. People, who are used to watch real Rajinikanth can't imagine their hero animated. So there is also some negative talk surrounding it.Audiences who love technology oriented different films will sure love it. It will be definitely a trendsetter in terms of technology and budget, but it is to be seen whether it will be received well by all.
When both the films are compared,'Manam' seems to have a slight edge over 'Vikramasimha' here in Telugu. Let's wait for May 23rd to see what the movies have in store for us.
