A dowry harassment case has been registered against actress Rambha, her brother Srinivasa Rao and their parents by the Banjara Hills police.

Pallavi, wife of Srinivasa Rao, had approached court alleging that her husband along with his sister Rambha and parents is harassing her for an additional dowry. She complained that her husband got addicted to alcohol, after incurring heavy losses in his business and now is harassing her to bring money. She also said that he is getting closer to another lady.

With the directions of court, police registered a case against Rambha and her family under IPC section 498-A and dowry prohibition act sections 3 & 5.
