For long, many producers have complained about the intrusion from TV channels. They have said the regular beaming of new films on the tube hits collections at the theaters, especially on weekdays.

Now music companies too are getting worried. The growth of 24-hour niche music channels, especially in regional languages, is hitting the sales of audio cassettes.

Some companies have asked production houses not to release audio clippings to TV channels.
