The last few Sankranthi’s had one thing in common: A release from producer MS Raju.

And all the release had one thing in common: They were all blockbusters.

The list is Okkadu,Varsham and NVNV.

But this year, there won’t be any offering from Raju for the Sankranthi.

But his next offering, Pournami, would be ready for release this summer.

Prabhudeva, who gave the hit NVNV, directs Pournami. It will star Prabhas who was part of Varsham and Trisha who has been part of both Varsham and NVNV. There are other heroines too in the film.

Raju always feels comfortable working with names he is comfortable with. The vibes and rapport are important.

That is why he is going back to Mahesh Babu (the Okkadu star) for his next film.

Mahesh Babu who is now busy with Pokiri will do duty for MS Raju’s film that may also see Trivikram Srinivas in the team.

MS Raju sure believes in keeping the tradition alive.

But the fans will miss the tradition of having his film for Sankranthi.
