Directed by debutant A Venkatesh and produced by Ch Ramakrishna on the banner of Victory Creations with Arjun and Mallika Kapoor in the lead, the songs recording of 'Ayyaa...' began recently.

The film is being made in Tamil as 'Vathiyar...' and is being dubbed into Telugu for simultaneous release. The first song penned by Bhuvanachandra was rendered by Karthik and was recorded as muhurat song.

Arjun says, 'I never played the role of a teacher and am doing it for the first time in my film career. As a teacher I want to mould the future of my students in a bright way. At the same time, I want to crush the anti-social elements in the society. Five songs and six fights would remain as highlight of the film. Moreover, the film will have all kinds of elements to which the audience look for when they know that it is Arjun's film.'

Debutant director A Venkatesh says, 'I worked as co-director for Arjun's film 'Gentleman' with Shankar. Now I am happy for being introduced as director through Arjun's film. The film though runs in action backdrop, attracts all classes of audience in general and mass in particular.'

Producer Ch Ramakrishna says, 'We are making the film with a different concept and the shooting of the film would end by September 25. We are planning to release the audio through a popular company by September 30. After completing all the post-production formalities, we are planning to release the film by Diwali. Prakash Raj, Pradeep Rawat, Devan and Sujata are in the cast. Dialogues are by Vennelakanti, music - D Imam, musical supervision - Krishna Teja, lyrics - Bhuvanachandra, Vennelakanti, Sahiti and Eswara Teja, action - Powerfast, editing - VT Vijayan, while screenplay and direction are by A Venkatesh.
