'Okka Magadu' to be directed and produced by YVS Choudary with Balakrishna in the lead is creating a sensation right from its announcement. It may be mentioned that YVS Choudary announced that the first line of a song by Simran in 'Seetaiah' with Nandamuri Harikrishna in the lead as the title of his next film.

From then onwards there was a lot of enthusiasm on who will be the hero of the film. Soon, the director-cum-producer announced that the hero would be Balakrishna. This announcement in itself enthralled the audiences in general and the Nandamuri fans in particular.

YVS Choudary says, 'The film would definitely reach the expectations of all the audiences. The subject of the film has come out well. Anushka is playing a heroine, while Nisha Kothari, who came from RGV school was selected as another heroine. These two would vie for the hero that the 'One and only man' is theirs in a romantic way. These two heroines would share two songs each with Balakrishna and another song would be canned on Balakrishna with both the heroines together. Simran, who earned the name of a successful combination with Balakrishna by playing opposite him in two super hit films like 'Samarasimha Reddy' and 'Narasimha Naidu' is playing a special heroine in this film.  The regular shooting of the film would begin in the next 15 days. We are planning to release the film on April 28, 2007 as a summer special.'
