Directed by Teja and produced by Ramoji Rao on the banner of Ushakiron Movies with Udaykiran and Reemasen as heroine has become a debut film for several artistes and technicians.

Teja, who was a cameraman, turned a director with that movie, while RP Patnaik was introduced as music director. Likewise, Udaykiran made his debut as hero.

After that film, Udaykiran played hero in another film 'Nuvvu Nenu' again under the direction of Teja. That film has become a very big hit and brought Udaykiran an image and a good following among the youth.

Later, MS Raju produced 'Manasanta Nuvve' on the banner of Sumanth Arts introducing VN Aditya as director with Udaykiran as hero. That film also went well and he proved a hattrick hero.

Though Udaykiran played hero in 'Sriram, Nee Sneham and Avunana Kadanna' but all of them failed to reach the expectations and turned duds.

After the successive failures, Udaykiran's film career got a break for about two years.

After this gap, Udaykiran played hero in a Tamil film 'Poy' under the direction of Balachander, which was dubbed as 'Abaddham'. That film also did not do well.

Now, he is doing a film, 'Viyyalavari Kayyalu' under the direction of E Sattibabu, with Srihari playing a key role, being produced by Smt Lagadapati Sirisha Sridhar. Udaykiran is keeping high hopes on the success of this movie.

Udaykiran faced several ebbs and tides in his early days of life and film career is strongly believing that his future would turn bright after this movie.

When asked, he says, 'I am trying to raise as a human being first'.
