Honour for Innocent!

Innocent, who is also the president of the Association of Malayalam Movie Artistes, said that he was honored to have been chosen for the award.

Born in Thrissur district of Kerala, Innocent entered film industry as a producer of many serious offbeat films. Then he became famous for his amusing mannerisms and excellent dialogue delivery, especially in a typical Thrissur accent.

Apart from acting in comical roles, he has excelled in serious roles as well.

Actor Innocent has been selected for the Sathyan Film Award for the year 2007. A three-member jury chose the famous comedian actor, for the award! 

The award is to appreciate his lifetime contribution to the film industry. The award carries a sum of Rs 10,000, a citation and a plaque designed by artist Aryanad Rajendran.

"It is indeed a great honor for me to get the award because Sathyan was a great actor whom I had idolized since childhood" said Innocent.

The Sathyan Film award was instituted in the memory of late actor Sathyan, and this year's award would be presented on his 60th birth anniversary on November 9th at the Sathyan Memorial hall by the labor minister P K Gurudasan.
