There has been a lot of confusion about the release of Deva, the Telugu remake of Surya, Asin-starrer Vel. First it was said that it will be dubbed. Then, there were rumours that it would be remade in Telugu with a top hero.

But the film did not do too well in Tamil when it was released for Deepavali. So, naturally, no one is keen on shooting it all over again.

Bellamkonda Suresh has recently said that he would now do more straight films. So, in all probability, this could the last dubbed film that he would be presenting in Telugu.

Deva will see Surya playing a double role and is set in the city and village. Asin is the heroines

The film is slated for release on December 14.
