It is confirmed that Rajnikant would be doing the mega 100-crore venture 'Robot'. Shankar’s tri-lingual had been offered to Shah Rukh Khan and Ajith.

But finally, it looks like Rajnikant will be doing the film.

But before that there were rumours that he would be doing a film with K Balachander’s Kavitalaya banner. Now it is confirmed that Vasu who had directed Rajni in 'Chandramukhi' would be directing this film.

Incidentally, the film is the remake of a Malayalam film titled Kadha Paryambol. Rajnikant happened to watch the film and is said to have liked Mammotty’s role in the original.

So this would be his next project.
