Ali is the one comedian who can boast of a super duper hit film as a hero. His Yamaleela was a huge box-office success. So, once again, an attempt is being made to cash in on the popularity and comic timing of Ali.

Titled Somberi, his latest film is being directed by writer Jonnavittula Ramalingeswara Rao. The film’s unit has just returned from a 10 day shooting schedule in Krishna district.

Shot in various locations at Kuchipudi, Puligadda, Srikakulam, Muvva, Avanigadda, a major chunk of the film is now complete.

The producer of the film, Yarramalli Venkata Rao also disclosed that a song has been picturised on Ali and the two girls – Rachana and Lakshya.

Ruksha is playing the lead opposite Ali. The film is likely to be released in the last week of March or April.

The film has various artistes such as Tanikella Bharani, Dharmavarapu Subramanyam, AVS, MS Narayana and others in the cast.
