Nagarjuna is very particular about his film’s release date, especially after 'Manmadhudu'. All his recent hits such as 'Mass', 'Manmadhudu' and 'Don' have been released on December 18.

So, given the superstitions in the industry, he is now very particular that his film is slated for release on that day. Hence, King, his next film is also being planned for release on that day.

The film is being produced by Shivprasad Reddy and it is being directed by Sreenu Vaitla.

Though the production house was earlier called Kamakshi Movies, now it has been renamed as Kamakshi Kala Movies, said the producer adding that the film’s shooting would begin on April 7.
