Ramcharan expressed his wish to play under the direction of Karunakaran. Though a Tamilian, A Kaunakaran, stayed back in Telugu films for the past several years.

Moreover, he is very close to the families of Mega Brothers. In fact, it was Karunakaran who gave a big hit like 'Tholiprema' in his career. Unfortunately, none of his films that came later proved hit at Box Office. Despite that, he earned name as a good director and he continued to get opportunities.

Though he brought out 'Happy' with Allu Arjun, it failed to give happiness to its buyers.

Presently Karunakaran is busy with 'Ullasamgaa… Utsahamgaa…' whose audio was released recently. If everything goes well, a film in their combination is likely in 2009.
