Vishal plays a cop for the first time in the movie 'Salute' and Nayantara plays the role of a daring TV journalist. Rajashekar, the director of the film says, 'the story is fast-paced but the violence element will not be to a disturbing scale'.

Extravagant stunt sequences have been filmed and a car chase sequence has been canned at an airport in Dubai. Apart from Nayantara giving good company to Vishal, she'd also feature with a group of naughty children who keep pulling her leg and vice versa.

'Salute' is produced by Vishal's brother Vikram Krishan under his banner G. K. Film Corporation. Harris Jayaraj has scored music and a new company has bagged the audio rights.

The film will be released on August 15.
