PadmaShri award for Brahmanandam
IndiaGlitz [Sunday, January 25, 2009]

The small time lecturer in the town of Attili later came to Telugu cinema and became the most loved comedian in tinsel town. The man who tickled our funny bones all the time is also an ace actor and a character artist. Brahmanandam is the one who has been laurelled with the Nation's prestigious award Padmashri. He also acted as a hero in the film 'Brahmanandam Drama Company' which was released in 2008.

Earlier, ace comedian Allu Ramalingaiah was honoured with the same award and now Brahmanandam has been honoured with the same. He was also a recipient of the Allu Ramalingaiah Award that was presented in 2005. He also holds a Guinness World Record for enacting in about 754 Telugu films within 20 years. The recent films of last year 'Krishna', 'Jalsa', 'Ready', 'Chintakayala Ravi' and 'King' witnessed some of his best performances that brought the roof down with laughter. The year has started on a positive note for the talented artist and Indiaglitz wishes hearty congratulations for the 'King of Comedy'.
