 Yesteryear actress Jayasudha has been conferred with Honorary Doctorate by B.R. Ambedkar Open University recently.
Debuting with ‘Pandanti Kapuram’ at the age of 12, Jayasudha became a heroine in ‘Lakshmana Rekha’. The title role in ‘Jyothi’ (1975) attained her fame and the diva was felicitated with the title ‘Sahajanati’. Still on the run in cinema, the actress has also entered politics in the recent past.
She plays the heroine in the upcoming film ‘Neramu – Siksha’ opposite superstar Krishna. On receiving the news of her honorary doctorate, Vijaya Nirmala (director of the film), Padmabhushan Krishna, co-artist AVS and the entire crew congratulated Jayasudha in the sets of ‘Neramu – Siksha’.
