Latest news is the preliminary list of candidates to contest in the forthcoming assembly elections on behalf of Telugu Desam came to the notice boards. Star Balakrishna is proposed to contest in the stronghold area of Hindupur Constituency.

Being the native constituency of late NT Rama Rao, Hindupur in Anantapur district of Andhra Pradesh has a potential stronghold for TDP. The former leader and founder of Telugu Desam, NTR has ardent fans in the district which is expected to be favorable for Balakrishna if he contests in this region.
