Mithun Chakraborthy's son making debut with tri-lingual
IndiaGlitz [Saturday, November 14, 2009]

When stars in Tollywood are making plans to act in a Bollywood movie or two, Mithun Chakraborthy's son Memo has thought it apt to make debut with a Telugu film, that will simultaneously be made into Tamil and Hindi.

Though all these days we have heard of star-sons in Hindi debuting in Hindi, for the first time, we are seeing someone who thinks a South Indian film can give a good start to his career.

Directed by G Ravi Kumar, the film has completed story discussions.  As the bound script is ready, it will go on floors very soon.  Some of the other cast include Mukesh Rishi and Rahul Dev.  Award-winning cinematographer Kabir Lal, who worked for many Telugu films in the past (Aditya 369, Style etc), will wield the camera.  Surprisingly, producer AM Ratnam is writing lyrics.

We knew that Bollywoodians are keen about Telugu films these days, especially going by the number of Telugu films that are planning to be remade in Hindi.  But we never thought someone will do the unthinkable.  What could be the reason?  Perhaps, the poor success rate of debutantes in Hindi these years could be one.  Whatever one says, Mithun's decision is wise.
