He has to his credit films that are more a mirror to the society.  From Chandni Bar to Satta, from Corporate to Fashion, from Page3 to Traffic Signal, his films have portrayed both ordinary and quirky characters of our societies.
 
The esteemed filmmaker is now ready to whizz off to the Cairo International Film Festival.  Five of his films have reportedly been selected to be screened at the 33rd edition of the film festival and Mr. Bandarkar, a school dropout, is all happy.  A story teller of unmatched clarity and conviction, his films will be watched by gigantic directors and filmi talent from around the world.
 
Madhur has said that he will be able to present at the Festival, where his films will be screened under the title "Tribute to Madhur Bhandarkar."
 
It is hoped that his international stature will only increase after the festival.
