Silambarasan aka STR is working on a fast pace at his diwali release, 'Osthi', that's a remake of Bollywood blockbuster 'Dabangg' that featured Salman Khan and Sonakshi Sinha.

The film also featured a song 'Munni Badnaam Hui...' that became a smashing hit and received international popularity. With the film being remade in Tamil, the one question that remains is who will reprise this hot number as Simbu's Munni in 'Osthi'.

The latest is that Simbu and his team are keen on featuring a Bollywood top-notch actress, like Katrina Kaif of 'Sheila Ki Jawani...' fame or 'Rana' girl Deepika Padukone and Simbu and Dharani are willing to shell out up to one crore rupees for this actress!

Even Bipasha Basu, B'town's dusky beauty who is currently shooting on a Hindi film with Madhavan at Greece is being considered for this item number. It may be mentioned she has earlier appeared in Ilayathalapathy Vijay's 'Sachin'.

Sources close to the unit reveal that although Simbu and Dharani are keen on featuring a Bollywood actress, if it does not work out, they are very much open for a debutante as well.
