When the Kolaveri sensation spoke at the audio launch function of 3 (Telugu version) in Hyderabad, he took the opportunity to attribute his popularity and status to the craziest song to have come out from India in 2011.  He seemed to say that beautiful things happen without being planned.  "We did not put much efforts into creating this song.  There was no strategy.  When everybody liked it, our joy knew no bounds", Dhanush said adding that Anirudh and Aishwarya's contribution to the output was immense.

He added that the song's international popularity was all due to God's grace and the blessings of audience.  He did not act in 3 because it was to be directed by Aishwarya (his wife) but because he liked the script.

3, his forthcoming release, will hit the screens on March 30.  Natti Kumar owns the dubbed release rights.  The first CD was unveiled by D Ramanaidu, who handed it over to Rana.  Ramanaidu said that he was associated with Kasthuri Raja's (Dhanush's father) family  and said that he felt proud of Dhanush's success.
