The makers of MUK are toying with the idea of a new version of the film which will have a different screenplay. It will first release in Telugu followed by a re-release in Tamil.

Says director Elred Kumar, "We're working on the Telugu version 'Nirantharam Nee Oohale', this will have a different screenplay. Since we wanted tax benefits we made several cuts in Tamil and went ahead with a U certificate. Our Telugu version will not have these cuts and will most probably receive an A from the censor board cause of it, it's not censored yet".

Buzz is that the new screenplay will have more prominence to Atharva's mother's character, played by Anupama Kumar.

"This Telugu version will be more intense and there will be changes in the climax as well, post the Telugu release the film will re-release in Tamil in the same version as it will in Telugu", he adds.
