Zanjeer remake: Producer to get Salim-Javed's blessings

Following the statements made by Javed Akthar on the sidelines of an event in Patna, Amit Mehra, the producer of Ram Charan's Zanjeer has said that he will consult Salim Khan and Javed Akthar regarding the remake.

At an event, Javed Akthar had suggested that it was wrong on the part of the makers of the remake to not have consulted the writers. Amith does have the remake rights, though.

They did not think of taking the permission of Javed-Salim duo. The media savvy Javed, who is given to get into activist mode when it comes to making the copyright laws more creator-friendly, insinuates that the creator's moral right would be compromised if a film was remade without their permission.
