When no one recognised Emraan

IndiaGlitz [Saturday, May 19, 2012]

While one waits to catch Emraan in his new 'desi' look that he has donned for 'Shanghai', there is an interesting tale being narrated about his presence amongst the 'aam junta' when the film was being shot. Though he was shooting amidst a large crowd at Latur, the shoot went off peacefully without him being hassled at all. Reason being his new look in which he wasn't recognised by passer-bys even as he calmly gave his shots during the guerrilla shoot of the film.

"What is most ironical is that even as he roamed around freely, there were 2000-3000 people on location waiting for him to turn up just in order to catch a glimpse of him", quips a sorce.

Amusingly though, the same crowd was puzzled when they realised that Emraan was ready to leave in his car. Only when he started off from the location and an entire fleet of security escorted his car out of the crowds did on-lookers realised that the man of the moment was within their breathing distance all this while.

Chuckles director Dibakar Banerjee, "Well, that's indeed true. All I can say is that Emraan's look is so different and interesting, that now one can't blame the crowd if they struggled too. Of course Emraan did comply at times so that his fan-base didn't go home disappointed.
