With Shriya Saran's Life Is Beautiful getting postponed unduly everytime, and worse still, the makers not even keeping the media in loop about the development, we may have to make do with piecemeal Shriya for a while now.  We are talking about her item girl avatar in a Bollywood movie.

The movie is Sanjay Dutt-starrer 'Zilla Ghaziabad'.  "It is a fun filled song and am happy to be part of it. Though I have done item numbers in the south, this is for the first time I am doing this in Bollywood", says the actress.

Besides the Shekar Kammula release, Shriya is now eagerly waiting for the release of her 'Midnight's Children'. Directed by Deepa Mehta, it is a film adaptation of Salman Rushdie's 1981 novel of the same name. The film features Siddharth, Anupham Kher and Shabana Azmi among others.

In Kollywood, the actress is playing the title role in a film titled 'Chandra', a movie on a last generation princess. A Tamil-Kannada bilingual, it is being helmed by Roopa Iyer. Ganesh Venkatraman and Sandalwood actor Prem are the protagonists.
