Think of it, a biopic on someone of whom Nehru said, "What am I, an ordinary Prime Minister before this Queen of Music?" Rajiv Menon, the celebrated cinematographer, is planning to direct a biopic on the Carnatic music legend, once he has done with his current assignments, Mani Ratnam's 'Kadal', and the much awaited 'Kochadaiyaan', "Pre-production work has already started. The shooting will start in July," say sources.

Rajiv Menon, who has directed movies such as 'Merupu Kalalu' and 'Priyuralu Pilichindi', has been doing a lot of research for this project on MS. "His film will be a fitting tribute to the musical legend," add sources.

Subbulakshmi, who was fondly called as 'MS Amma' by her admirers from across the world, earned global acclaim for her sublime voice and mellifluous rendition of classical songs.
