Mollywood star Dileep is Puttaparthi Baba

In the absence of any official confirmation, it has been speculated that Mohan Lal will play the role of Kodi's Puttaparthi Sai Baba.  That is wrong.  The makers zeroed in on another Malayalam star for the difficult role.  It is actor Dileep.

"We seriously considered many actors for the role.  We approached some of them, but we could not get their dates.  We finally felt that Dileep would best suit the role," Kodi said.  Dileep immediately accepted to do the film, as he felt that it was divine grace.

Kodi said that Illayaraja's acceptance gave him great strength.  "His contribution is immense.  There are 14 songs in total.   All are situational.  He is breathing life with his background score," he added.
