That Ravi Teja owes everything to Puri Jagannadh is an open secret.  He has often said that if Krishna Vamsi (who made Sindhooram with him) laid the foundation, PJ built a beautiful structure on it.  He reiterated this feeling speaking at the audio launch of Devudu Chesina Manushulu.

"It is Puri's faith in me that has made what I am today.  I will never forget the support he has been giving me," a grateful RT said.  "I wish that Raghu Kunche's music will become a big hit.  I wish that the producers earn big-time money," he added.

RT's characterization in Idiot has been a hallmark.  It catapulted him to the starry orbit overnight.  He never needed to look back.  In 2012, PJ gets another golden opportunity to resurrect the sagging career of Mass Maharaja, who has given back-to-back flops.
