Sridevi's comeback film English Vinglish is set to release on September 21.  Directed by Gauri Shinde (wife of R Balki of Paa fame), this movie sees Sridevi in the role of a housewife, who hails from a village.  She proves that learning to speak in English is no big deal.  How she utterly surprises her family and friends forms an interesting aspect of the story.

The news is that the much-awaited film's trailer will be released along with Eega, on July 6.  This is a national release.  The movie is being made as a Hindi-Telugu-Tamil tri-lingual.  R Balki says, "Only Sridevi can do this role.  It is a popular belief in India that spoken English is very difficult.  An English dilettante coming from a village proves to the world that speaking in English is her cup of tea.  I am happy to be producing this movie in partnership with Eros International."

Priya Anand of Leader fame is playing one of the key roles.  Except for Sridevi, most of the faces are relatively unfamiliar to Hindi audience.  Amit Trivedi is the music director.
