Rajanna jewel Annie shines at Filmfare

Well, Annie did receive the 'bestest' of applauses before and after the release of Rajanna in December.  This Vijayendra Prasad directorial may not have been rewarded at the Box Office, but it has given moments of pride for its makers.

Annie, the film's USP, won the Best Supporting Actor (Female) at the 59th Idea Filmfare Awards.  The award was well-deserved, because it is known that if Rajamouli called her the best actress since the days of Savithri, Nag had to say that he was not jealous of her!  After all, it was she who was the Heroine, while Nag was actually a supporting actor.

IndiaGlitz's review of the film said of her performance: "Annie is the best discovery in Tollywood's recent history.  No exaggeration this.  One cannot help but exclaim at her maturity.  Watch her expressing shock at knowing that she is Rajanna's daughter, she is like a seasoned actress.  Her diction, her expression, her moves - everything about Annie is awesome."
