Looks like Bollywood is incurably enamoured of Tollywood films. After Sanjay Leela Bhansali deciphered a mine of money in Vikramarkudu, he has turned his attention to Indra. Chinni Krishna must be proud of the fact that his script is set to be remade into a big Hindi film, after more than a decade of the release of the original.
The 'Rowdy Rathore', Khiladi Akshay Kumar, will reprise Megastar Chiranjeevi in this remake. Talks are that he has brought the rights of Telugu blockbuster film 'Indra', that starred Tollywood superstar Chiranjeevi and Sonali Bendre in the lead.
Incidentally the film was later dubbed in Hindi as 'Indra - The Tiger' and in Tamil as 'Indran'.
While Akki is going to play the hero, hunt for a leading lady is on. According to sources, the film is expected to go on the floors sometime in 2013.
It will be interesting to see how the film will be adapted. The makers will definitely find it appropriate to effect suitable changes. Indra's Telugu nativity might just be replaced with Marathi nativity.
