UKUP awarded U/A

IndiaGlitz [Monday, July 23, 2012]

U Kodathara Ulikki Padatara underwent today Censor formalities.  It was awarded with U/A.  The Manchu Manoj-Balakrishna starrer is slated to release on July 27.  It was to clash with DCM, but the latter has since been deferred to Aug 15.

There is a curiosity about the subject matter of the film.  People are wondering whether it is a mass entertainer or a fantasy," the makers say.  The title has, from the beginning, had a ring of comedy to it.

Deeksha Seth, Panchi Bora, Sonu Sood, Prabhu, Rishi and others are part of the cast.  Cinematography is by Rajsekhar.  Music is by Bobo Sashi.  Sekhar Raja the director has been in for praise from Mohan Babu and Balakrishna.

After the flops in the form of Jhummandi Nadam and Mr. Nookayya, Manoj has pinned his hopes on this film.  UKUP will be released in Tamil as Varuvan Thalaivan.
