Pournami on Zee Telugu to tell a different story

Phir Subah Hogi, the popular soap opera that is aired on Zee TV, would be telecast as Pournami on Zee Telugu, staring July 23, at 10:30 p.m., from Monday to Friday. Starring Gulki Joshi as Suguna, this feature is about a fight waged by a whore to rid herself and her community the stigma, and save from the clutches of the dehumanizing profession of prostitution.

As a woman, she wants to become a housewife, give her husband love, and raise her children. But having born into an uncommon tribe, it is not easy to break free. Will she see the light of the day, successfully breaking herself from the darkness she was born into?

Directed by Waseem Sabir, it is set in the Bundelkhand region of Madhya Pradesh.
