Sridevi starrer 'English Vinglish' goes Toronto

Sridevi's big screen comeback vehicle 'English Vinglish' will have an international premiere.The directorial debut of R.Balki's sister Gauri Shinde, 'English Vinglish' is reported to be screened at the prestigious Toronto International Film Festival, in the Galas category.

The film will be showcased on 14th September 2012, at the festival which will be held between 6th to 16th Sept.

Excited about the opportunity, producer Balki was quoted in an interview, "The whole team is thrilled that our film has been chosen in the 'Galas' section for a world premiere at the prestigious Toronto Film Festival.

It's an honour when your film is being showcased alongside films by Billy Bob Thornton, Roger Michell, Robert Redford, Mike Newell, Ben Affleck and Mira Nair.

Gauri and I are personally very excited. And hope the world cheers the comeback of Sridevi - India's only true pan Indian female superstar."

The premiere is said to be attended by the entire cast and crew of the film.

Besides Sridevi, 'English Vinglish' stars Adil Hussain, Priya Anand, French actor Mahdi Nebbou and Amitabh Bachchan and south star Ajith Kumar in special roles. The film revolves around a housewife who is poor in English.

In the course of the story, she takes up special coaching in English to impress her family and society, who had made fun of her English language. The film has been dubbed in Tamil and Telugu as well and will have simultaneous release along with the
