'News about Rajini garu asking me for a story is false'

While it is true that Rajinikanth spoke to Rajamouli over the phone after watching Naan Ee, it is not true that he asked our director to pen a script for him.  It is not like Aamir Khan expressing a desire to work with Rajamouli after watching Magadheera, so it turns out.

While there were claims that the director's next would be with Suriya and that it is a bilingual, the big buzz came a few days back that the filmmaker had been penning a story with Superstar Rajinikanth in the mind.

Probably peeved by the baseless reports, Rajamouli himself cleared the air on both the claims but hasn't denied the possibilities with Suriya. "Me and Suriya meet occasionally. Both of us are interested in working together. But there are numerous issues to be finalised before a film can be announced."

On working with Rajini, he stated: "News about Rajinikanth garu (respect) asking me to prepare a story is completely false."
