Kodi Ramakrishna is one of the few veteran filmmakers who has it in him to make cinema for the new generation, as his Arundhati proved beyond.  When he announced a film on Puttaparthi Sai Baba, after the Godman's passing away, it did create some expectations.  Malayalam hero Srijith is playing the Baba's role in this film, which has already completed two schedules. This big-budget venture sees a special set of Prashanthi Nilayam erected at a cost of Rs. 1 cr.  Art director Nagu will design in the set.  Cinematography is by Vasu.  Music is by Illayaraja.  Lyrics are by Jonnavitthula.  Editing is by Nandamuri Hari.

Even as this film is in the making, Kodi is planning a Telugu-Tamil-Malayalam-Kannada multi-lingual film.  Starring his Arundhati villain Sonu Sood in a key role, this untitled film sees Lakshmi Rai (Kanchana, Adhinayakudu fame) playing the heroine.  Arjun Sarja is the other important actor in the cast.

He will have created a record when the film finally materializes.  Wonder what genre it belongs to!
