Wanted to be a naxalite: Murugadoss

Ace director AR Murugadoss has confessed that he wanted to be a naxalite as a youngster.  He was always socially conscious and therefore, used to cogitate over issues.  He had his moments of hopelessness, when he thought of turning into a social radical to help remove suffering.

Just as he wavered about his future plans, the fact that a suffering girl's photograph ended the infamous Vietnam War altered his thinking forever!

His interest now shifted to the great world of cinema.  He made up his mind to make cinema that could have a positive impact on society.  The rest, as we know, is history.

While Ramana (remade into Telugu as Tagore) fought against corruption, Stalin spread the message of living life as an example, in one's own modest way.  7 Aum Arivu (7th Sense) raised its voice against the disuse and denigration of (the genius of) our culture.
