Actor Raj Shekhar is of the view that Mahankali is a true cop story.  He said that the film will make people cherish the police job and it will propel them to join the police force.  High on action, the film is about how the hero puts an end to terrorism.

The film is slated for Dec 7 release.

Insinuating that Mahankali is going to be another Ankusham in his career, the actor exuded confidence in the script.  The film will be released in Tamil as a sequel to a 1989 film on which Ankusham was based.  There it is being publicised as a sequel to that super hit movie.

Also starring, Pradeep Rawat, Chalapathi Rao, Abhinaya, Sathya Prakash, Annapurnamma, Jeeva, Prabhakar, Nalini, Vinod Kumar, Kadambari Kiran, Raghu, Sutti Velu (late), Narsing Yadav, Bharath, Prasanna Kumar and others, it has dialogues by Rajsekhar himself and Krishna Mohan.

Lyrics are by Suddala Ashok Teja, Sahithya Sagar, Paidishetty Ramu.  Music is by Chinna.  Cinematography is by Madhu A Naidu.  Fights are by Kanal Kannan, Marshal Ramana.  Choreography is by Amma Rajsekhar, Rock Nani.
