Forget Tagore, it is Stalin for now

For Bollywood, there need not be a reason to remake a Southern film.  Even mediocre films like Avunu ought to be rehashed.  If some reports are to be believed, the latest to join the league is, gasp, AR Murugadoss' Stalin.  If you have not laughed enough, try this.  Sallu bhai will reprise Chiru's role!

The director's claim to fame is the recent super success of Vijay-starrer, Thuppakki.  However, even after the success of Aamir Khan's Ghajini, there has been talk that ARM's next in Bollywood would be either with SRK or Salman Khan.  (Thank God that Sallu bhai is unlikely to reprise Suriya's role in 7th Sense).

Come to think of it, when Stalin is not a Munnabhai MBBS, would not look a bit rib-tickling to watch Salman speaking like a sage?  Given the record of ARM, we do not think it is going to be a comedy.  Watching Chulbul Pandey talk calmly and sagaciously like an alter ego of Buddha-Gandhi personality will be interesting to watch.
