In a rather short career span, Vijay Sethupathi has wooed the audience, especially by his stunning performance in 'Pizza' and 'Naduvula Konjam Pakkatha Kaanom'. It is worth mentioning that he has also clinched an award for the Best Male Rising Star. He has a handful of projects now, and one among them is 'Pannaiyarum Padminiyum'. This is produced by MR Ganesh for Magic Fox Films. Even before kick-starting the actual shooting process, the movie has started creating waves.

In this film, 'Attakathi' fame Nandita has been chosen to co-star Vijay Sethupathi. A brilliant set has been erected near the Azhagar Temple in Madurai, at a cost of Rs. 25 Lakhs. It is said that the film will be shot here for nearly 40 days. The SU Arun Kumar directive has Gokul Binay cranking the camera and Shrikar Prasad on editing. The tunes of this film have been set by debutante Justin Prabhakarn.
