'Dada Saheb Phalke' awardee Gopalram's 'Sri Balaji Mahima'

Gopalram, who has worked as the assistant director for famous directors like Richard Auttenborough, K.Baapayya, K.Muralimohan Rao and B.Gopal and who has worked as the writer for over 150 films, has been directing a film titled 'Sri Balaji Mahima'. This is debut film in Telugu as the director. He has directed two films in Hindi and one in Tamil.

Gopalram is also the receipient of the prestigious Dada Saheb Phalke award for the year 2012 from South India.

This film is to be produced under MGS films banner. The songs recording of this film has started recently in Chennai.

Gopalram says, "We have taken the theme, How a man is using the chance given by the God to prosper and how he is being mislead after that, and making this movie. This movie is being made with a  message.We have taken a different point that has never come before. The songs recording of this Socio-mythological film has started recently in Chennai. Singers Unnikrishnan, Saketh and Bhanu has sung the six songs in this movie.We will start the shooting on 22nd of this month and schedule it in Tirupathi, Vizag and Chennai. Niteesh Bharadwaj, who has done the Lord Krishna's character in the Mahabharatha serial is playing the Lord Balaji's character in this movie. He has been inspired so much hearing this story and promised to act in the movie".
