The Supreme court of India has upheld the conviction of Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt under Arms Act in the 1993 Mumbai blasts case. The Supreme court has however reduced the six year jail term given by TADA court to five years. He has to surrender within four weeks and there is no obvious chance of him to be released on probation.
Currently Sanjay Dutt is acting in Ramcharan's Bollywood debut film 'Zanjeer'. He is playing the Pathan Sherkhan role in 'Zanjeer', which is being played by Srihari in the Telugu version, 'Thoofan', as Sherkhan.
The SC decision may have the effect on the shooting of Zanjeer and the release of the film may be delayed.
