"There is no place for the words 'me' and 'you' in film industry. Anybody will sustain here only if they feel as 'we'. Only NTR and ANR have the right to use the word 'me' here. No one else can deserve it. Kona Venkat should take notice of this", said V.Sagar in the meet of the directors.
The directors association have fired on Kona Venkat for his recent comments on directors in a recent interview for a newspaper.
Sagar added, "Many directors have complained us to react on the comments of Kona Venkat. Kona Venkat seems to be feeling sad at not getting the respect given to the great writers like Aathreya, Jandhyala, Paruchuri Brothers and Satyanand. The other matters were discussed with the writers only after they gave the story, but there were no incidents of serving them food etc before it. Everybody have their own duties here. If one shows their talent, they will sustain. Many don't know, when and how a screenplay is generated. There is no rule that a director should take all the 36 pages written by the writer. He takes what he needs and then can make it work out with the 24 crafts. It is not correct that Kona has commented targeting the director. I don't care if Kona feels sad at my words. I question him if he has given a full script to any film. If he has talent in him, why should he need Gopimohan with him? If he is a great writer, why did his project with Madhavan stopped? I think that he doesn't deserve to be a writer. At present, 80% of the writers can write well. If Kona really writes a good script, i will make him get 2 to 4 crores for it. He is also a member of directors association. If he has any problem, he should better discuss with the directors association".
Srinath said, " We don't know to whom Kona has given his rowdy fare (screenplay). If he really felt sad about it, he should have discussed with us. We have been trying to speak with him for two days, but his phone has been switched off. He has sent a message to Maddineni that he will answer in two days, but he didn't. So we have arranged this meet. We will discuss about this in our general body meeting".
Maddineni Ramesh said,"The self respect of some directors have got hurt with the comments of Kona Venkat. If he has a personal revenge on any body, we have no problem. But his words like "directors don't deserve the prominence and remunerations they are receiving today", have hurt some directors"
